20°C - 15%RH Control Solution for Mebiphar's Pharmaceutical Film Coating Room: Application of the Dezenno Rotor Dehumidifier
In the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is mandatory to ensure product quality and safety. Every stage of the production line must be strictly controlled, with environmental temperature and humidity control playing a pivotal role.
DeAir is proud to have been chosen by Mebiphar Pharmaceutical and Medical Biological .,JSC, one of Vietnam's reputable pharmaceutical companies, as the partner to provide an air handling solution for one of the most critical stages: the tablet film coating room.

The "Jacket" of a Pill & The Challenge of the Film Coating Process
The film coating process can be thought of as putting a special "jacket" on a pill. This coating serves many important functions: protecting the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) from the environment, masking unpleasant tastes, controlling the drug's release rate in the body, and improving the product's aesthetic appeal.
However, this is an extremely sensitive stage with respect to environmental conditions. According to the GMP standards of the Drug Administration of Vietnam, controlling temperature and humidity is mandatory. Without strict control, serious problems can occur:
If humidity is too high: The film sprayed onto the tablets will not dry properly, leading to issues like tackiness (tablets sticking together), peeling, or a pitted surface, directly affecting the quality and efficacy of the medicine.
If temperature is too high: It can alter or destroy heat-sensitive APIs, reducing or eliminating the therapeutic effect of the drug.
To ensure a perfect film coating process, the Mebiphar factory required an extremely demanding environmental condition for the air supplied to the coating machine: a temperature of 20°C and a humidity of only 15%RH. This presents a major technical challenge.
Dezenno - The Specialized Humidity Control Solution for the Pharmaceutical Industry
To achieve the ultra-low humidity of 15%RH, conventional condensing dehumidifiers are completely inadequate. Recognizing this, DeAir consulted and implemented an integrated air handling system (DHU - Dehumidification Unit) featuring the most advanced humidity control technology: the Dezenno rotor dehumidifier.
Why is the Dezenno rotor dehumidifier the only choice?
Adsorption rotor technology uses a wheel made of silica gel material that physically "pulls" water vapor molecules out of the air. The air, after passing through the rotor, becomes extremely dry, easily reaching the very low dew points and humidity levels that condensation technology cannot. This is the standard technology used in high-tech industries such as pharmaceutical, lithium battery, and electronics manufacturing.

The DHU system designed by DeAir not only dehumidifies but also integrates a cooling unit to bring the air to the precise temperature of 20°C, ensuring a perfect air supply for the film coating machine.
The Result: A Stable Production Line, Assured Product Quality
After installation, DeAir's temperature and humidity control system has been operating stably, helping the Mebiphar pharmaceutical factory to:
Completely control the production environment: Consistently maintain the 20°C - 15%RH condition regardless of external weather, ensuring the production line is never interrupted.
Enhance product quality: Eliminate defects caused by humidity, ensuring every tablet has a perfect, uniform film coating.
Meet GMP standards: DeAir's system is a critical component that helps the factory comply with the strict regulations of the pharmaceutical industry.
